The Macbook Air is an awesome bit of kit. I have owned three 13 inches now, my partner has one. I like to switch my gear depending on my mood! The Air has been my all time favourite and I have owned many macs including the 17 beasts, 13 and 15 pros from core2duo up to the latest Retina. To my mind the Air wins hands down.
I use applications like Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Logic X, iMovie, xCode, Final cut pro occasionally and the Air runs them all without a hitch. The operating system and hardware marry perfectly.
The only issue I have with the Macbook Air is the screen real estate. 1440 x 900 may look very pretty, and the screen is clear and bright, but its awkward when trying to design a website (I am a developer) and trying to get multiple windows into view.
The new Macbook Airs will no doubt be fitted with Retina Displays with 2500 x 900 pixels. I can not wait to get my hands on to one to test.
Having such a passion with anything Mac, a friend and I have started a local repair company. As well as design, I have 25 years electronics experience and I am always tinkering and have a natural ability to fix. We are aiming at sectors of society who do not have a lot of income such as single parents, those on any state benefits and students. Having been a student and at times on JSA in the past, I know from experience how difficult it is if a laptop or similar goes down and it is desperately needed.
If you have any Mac issues please contact us. We give a free diagnosis and we keeps our costs down to a minimum if you need to have a repair.
